Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for an Outside Account Manager within our Canadian Sales organization to manage our Quebec & Atlantic Canada Clients. In this role, you will work towards a quota within a defined territory, working with named clients. The Outside Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals by working with existing customers, virtually and in-person, to adopt more Applied Systems solutions to meet help meet their business objectives. Driving conversations through proactive account engagement efforts as well as responding to inbound customer requests. The Outside Account Manager will be compensated in part by base and variable pay as defined in the Compensation Plan distributed annually.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Sell, via telephone, zoom, and in-person meetings brokerages within the assigned territory to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by utilizing Solution Selling guidelines.
  • Manage and direct day-to-day inbound inquiries and service requests for your list of named customers.
  • Works creatively to identify new sales opportunities to consistently keep the sales funnel full.
  • Facilitate, along with a Solution Consultant SME, a brokerage-tailored proof of Applied’s abilities to aid in the agency’s achievement of their goals.
  • Provide management with accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Keep internal CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system updated with accurate client and opportunity information and completes any follow up activities in a timely manner.
  • Stay knowledgeable on all products and services, industry trends, and technology trends by utilizing training, research, and tradeshows.
  • Within driving distance of the Montral office for occasional internal meetings

 

We’re Excited to Learn More About You

Your experience may include:

  • 4+ years of quota-carrying, full-cycle (prospecting to closing) B2B sales experience.
  • Is willing to travel up to 60% of the time in Quebec & Atlantic Canada and is fluent in both French & English
  • Experience consulting prospects and customers on business objectives, challenges, and impacts to provide broader business coaching to close deals, going beyond the basic product demo.
  • Successful track record achieving or exceeding new business or territory growth targets by prospecting, discovery, business consulting and negotiating and closing.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tool(s) highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

 

You May Have Other Skills or Credentials, including:

  • Software as a Service (SaaS) sales experience a plus
  • Knowledge of the Canadian P&C Insurance Industry is a plus
