Position Overview  

We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Canada Commercial Lines Development team in a remote setting. In this role, you will participate in the development of a modern containerized web application as well as the maintenance of a Windows client/server application.

What You’ll Do  

• Collaborate with an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Design, develop, implement, test, document, release, and support production-quality software as we continuously improve scalability while maintaining velocity
• Contribute to development and new features, maintenance of existing functionality, and automated testing to provide high quality for customers
• Monitor application performance in production and non-production environments to proactively identify, debug, and resolve application and performance issues
• Collaborate within a development team to deliver high-quality and improve usability
• Continuously learn about new tools and technologies
  
  

 We’re Excited to Learn More About You  

• 3 years of work experience in software engineering and development with:

- Go, React, Angular, C#, Smalltalk would be a plus

- Testing frameworks such as Cypress

- PostgreSQL or BigQuery

- Google Cloud, Azure, Kubernetes, Containerization

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment
