Position Overview 

We’re searching for a Payments Operations Specialist to join our Digital Payments team in a remote or hybrid capacity. To keep us headed in the right direction, we’re looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team’s diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.  

 

What You’ll Do

        • Manage the KYC process and client onboarding efforts, ensuring accurate risk tier assignments.
        • Monitor transactions to detect potential fraud, investigate flagged transactions, and take action (e.g., blocking or accepting payments/payouts) while minimizing customer friction.
        • Maintain and update fraud detection rules to ensure they remain effective and current. Track and analyze performance metrics, such as dispute rates, false positive rates, and detection accuracy.
        • Address transaction and payout-related support requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
        • Oversee and maintain payment system infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk exposure.
        • Assist in the development and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory

Your experience may include:

  • A strong interest in the payments industry, fraud prevention, or financial services is highly desirable, though prior payments experience is not required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in payment operations, fraud prevention, or financial services.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

You may have other skills or credentials, including:

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
  • A customer-focused attitude, balancing fraud prevention with minimizing customer friction.
