Job Overview

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Corporate Development Manager in our Corporate Development team. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping various commercial strategies across Applied Systems’ product portfolio. 

What You’ll Do

In collaboration with key stakeholders across the business, you will:

  • Partner with senior leadership across multiple functional areas to address significant business challenges and opportunities globally
  • Assist in Applied’s commercialization process for new software products - from ideation to execution
  • Contribute research and analyses to identify and size key customer pain points
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to develop viewpoints for new product ideas, including addressable market and unit economics, ultimately leading to a commercialization hypothesis
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders on primary market research efforts (customer interviews, etc.) to further refine viewpoints on customer demand and willingness to pay
  • Contribute to commercial strategy and assist in bringing new products to market
  • Continuously refine strategies based on market feedback
  • Play a role in our annual long-range strategy planning process

  • Project management skills, with the ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguous environments
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in team settings across all levels of the organization
  • Mental agility with the ability to appreciate and integrate various functions such as finance, marketing, and others within the context of different business units
  • Demonstrated ability to be cross-disciplinary and cross-functional, understanding and valuing the contributions of different departments and how they interplay to achieve strategic goals

Additionally you may have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record. Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of experience in management consulting or corporate strategy/development roles
  • Deep understanding of software unit economics, including the ability to analyze and influence financial aspects down to the profitability level
  • Proven track record in a similar role, with experience in product strategy, conducting thorough research, and shaping strategies that drive commercial success
